The Chippewa Nature Preserve is open for public
use.
2.
Nature Preserve hours are seven days a week from dawn to
dusk.
Requests for additional hours past dusk must be approved by

Out of respect for nature, no person shall purposely,
knowingly, recklessly or negligently handle or feed the wild animals, destroy or remove
any
tree,
flower, shrub, grass, artifact or any part thereof from the Nature Preserve
property.

The use of, or possession of alcoholic beverages,
illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
Smoking is not permitted in the Nature
Preserve.
5.
In the interest of safety, the use of firearms,
fireworks, explosives or other projectiles of any kind are strictly prohibited in the Nature
Preserve.
6.
The burial of anyone or anything including the spreading
or depositing of cremains on Nature Preserve property is strictly
prohibited.
7.
Fires shall be permitted in a fireplace, charcoal burner
or established charcoal grills and fire pits
only.
8.
Fishing, hunting, trapping or molesting of the wildlife
is prohibited.
9.
Swimming or wading is not permitted in the Nature
Preserve.
10.
Camping is prohibited, except organized groups with
prior written permission of township Trustees.
11.
In the interest of safety, all pets must be kept under
control by their owner at all times and remain on a leash that is no
greater than eight feet (8') in
length. Pet owners must clean up
after their pets. In
addition, these pets are permitted on trails only. No equestrian use is
permitted.
12.
All users of the Nature Preserve must stay on and use
only properly marked trails, boardwalks and lawn
areas.
13.
No person shall operate a bicycle on or over a grassy
area, walkway, path or any other area not established for vehicle operation
within the park.
No
person shall ride, operate or use a skateboard, skates, rollerblades or
other similar devices within or upon the grounds of the Nature
Preserve.
Cross-country and snowshoeing is
approved.
14.
The use of snowmobiles and all terrain vehicles on the
Nature Preserve property is strictly
prohibited.
15.
The use of mopeds or motorbikes is strictly
prohibited.
16.
All trash shall be deposited in properly marked
receptacles or taken by the visitor out of the
Nature Preserve. Disposal of hot coals upon
the
grounds or within trash containers is
prohibited.
17.
No person shall conduct himself, by word or by act, in a
riotous, disorderly or other manner so as to disturb the peace and
good order of the
Nature
Preserve. No person shall use
insulting, abusive, threatening, profane or indecent language in the
park.
18.
No person shall disturb the good order and quiet of the
Nature Preserve by creating unnecessary or unreasonable noise by the use of
loud
speakers, boom boxes, radios, the playing of recorded music, the
use of sound systems or any other means at a level and/or volume which
interferes with the enjoyment of others
within or near immediate area. Properly sponsored public functions are
excluded from this provision.

No posting or distributing of signs of any type shall be
permitted.

Preserve shall contact the Chippewa township trustee office at

between the hours of 8:00 and 3:00.
The Nature Preserve
rules for the pavilion are the same as those listed for the Nature Preserve
Property.

It will be the responsibility of those who reserve the
pavilion for parties or meetings to clean up all debris and clean off all
tables.
