The Mum Field Walk previously scheduled for Thursday, June 29 is cancelled due to flooding and will be rescheduled soon.

Thursday, June 22 - Twilight Field Walk
  • Time: 7-9 PM (English time)
  • Location: Noah H. Hostetler Farm
  • Directions: At the west edge of West Salem, turn left a few feet past the railroad tracks, then south a few miles to the farm.
  • Purpose: Learning about produce growing.
  • Who should attend: Everybody including buyers.
  • Speaker: Matt Kleinhenz from the Wooster Experiment Station.

Wed Feb 22 - Fall Mum Grower Meeting
  • Time: 1pm.
  • Location: Center greenhouse at the Produce Auction.
  • Speaker- Shannon Miller from Louisville, Kentucky and representing GroLink mums.

Wed Feb 8 - High Tunnel Grower Meeting
  • Time: 1pm.
  • Location: Auction office. 
  • Who should attend? Everyone with any interest in high tunnels.
  • Featuring: An informal discussion with Matt Kleinhenz who operates four high tunnels for The Ohio State University at Wooster.

Fri and Sat Feb 3 & 4 - Order Days
  • Time: Friday 9am-4pm, Sat 9am-noon(for carpenter crews).
  • Location: Auction office.
  • Raymond Yoder will be present on Saturday.
  • All orders placed and prepaid by Feb 4 will receive a 6% discount.  This includes all items in the Yoder catalog. 
  • Please have your order filled out and totaled.
  • The first 30 growers get a free Christy Otto calendar.

Tue & Wed, Jan 17 & 18 - Ohio Fruit & Vegetable Growers Congress
  • Location: Columbus Convention Center. 
  • Who should attend? All Homerville growers should attend. 
  • Our Booth:The Homerville Produce Auction will have a booth at the Congress so that we can tell our story to the rest of Ohio and Mid-America.

Wed, Jan 11 - Flew/Flop and Planting Intentions Meeting
  • Time: 1pm.
  • Location: Center greenhouse at the Produce Auction. 
  • Who should attend?  All growers. 
  • Purpose of the meeting: Discuss what worked and what did not in 2005.  Declare 2006 planting intentions.
  • Speaker: none 
  • Format:  Round table discussion.  Some highly knowledgeable growers will be present. 
  • Yoder Produce catalogs will be distributed at this meeting.

Tue, Jan 10 - Spring Flower Meeting
  • Time: 1pm.
  • Location: Auction office. 
  • Who should attend? Flower growers, vegetable transplant growers, and anyone thinking of building a greenhouse. 
  • Purpose of the meeting: Discuss plans and order plant material from Green Circle.
  • Feature: An informal discussion on spring flower production with Laura Michelle Deeter from The Ohio State University.
